I got this door from my cousin, it was in her basement and I'm not sure why she wanted to get rid of it but I was on her 1st call list.  Yes!!! I will take that beautiful door.  It was put together a long time ago with boards that ran vertical on this side and horizontal on the other.  It's heavier than a baby elephant.

I needed a display for my IOD stamps, transfers and moulds so this door was my vision.  I painted it in DIY White Swan with a little Letterpress Gray on the bottom, Added Layered Chocolate and Fire Starter on the hinges, handle and nail at the top.

Since it was to be the IOD display I needed to showcase IOD products so I stamped it with the Bohemian, Distressed and Butterflies in DIY Little Black Dress.  Then stamped Rose Toile in Blue Iris and since it was light I decided to take a damp cloth and pull most of it off and smear it a bit and then stamp it again.  I love the blurred water color look.

Then I added the Redoux 4 Transfer Rose to the handle area cutting and piecing it together for a fun look.

I hope you'll stop by Tease Tanning Plus Gifts on Main to check it out and if you love it (I'm sure you will) I hope you will purchase one of the stamps and create your own art.  They are addicting!!
